Like many agencies, Egg Donor & Surrogate Solutions is experiencing a record number of intended parents who need the help of a surrogate to create their happy family at a time when there is a shortage of qualified surrogates across the country.

During recent Surrogacy Q&A events hosted via Facebook Live, potential surrogates had the opportunity to learn more about what a surrogacy journey is like from current and former surrogates who shared their experience and advice. In addition, members of our Egg Donor & Surrogate Solutions team, who collectively have helped to create 23 families as surrogates themselves, provided information on the application process and answered questions.

Mariah: Getting the opportunity to see the intended mother meet her son for the first time is an experience I can’t even put into words. It was my favorite part of the entire journey. The magic in the room…there’s nothing like it. Now, he’s almost a year old, and we still talk every week. They send me pictures and videos and we Facetime. So, it’s not just the baby was born, and that’s the end. We have a very strong relationship that is different than any other relationship in my life.
Rae Lynn: She (the intended mother) got to deliver her son from start to finish. The look on her face when she delivered him is just priceless. Angela (her Care Coordinator) kept telling me it’s the best thing, but you can’t fathom what it’s like until you actually see it. It’s the biggest adrenaline rush you’ll ever get.
Amanda: There are many sweet moments that I will hold dear for a long time, but my favorite was immediately after she was born. The mom gave me a huge hug and was balling and said, ‘thank you so much!’ It was at that moment that I knew I had changed their lives forever – and not just theirs but their whole family.
