Meet Emily and Kyle: Hoping to Grow Their Kansas City Family
Emily and Kyle are architects, best friends, and proud new parents living in Kansas City. Their son, Otto, arrived in June 2026 after a long fertility journey, and they are completely smitten with their happy little boy. Now, they dream of giving Otto a brother and filling their home with the energy, laughter, and connection they both experienced growing up with siblings.
During Emily’s pregnancy with Otto, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Because of her diagnosis and treatment, carrying another pregnancy is not medically recommended.
Emily and Kyle met while working for the same sports architecture firm. Their jobs took them behind the scenes at major events, including the College Football Playoff and five Super Bowls. They even helped escort Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce out of the stadium after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win in Las Vegas!
Today, Kyle designs large NFL venues, while Emily is now the majority owner of the architecture and engineering firm her mother founded in 1987. She especially loves designing schools, daycares, and parks because those spaces can make a meaningful difference in children’s lives.
While Emily is more of a homebody, Kyle is outgoing and always ready for an adventure. They truly balance each other. Together, they love traveling, trying new restaurants, attending concerts, and cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs as season ticket holders. Kyle loves cooking for their tailgates and has even created menus inspired by the opposing team’s hometown.
Their happiest moments, however, are spent with family. Both sets of grandparents live nearby, and Otto is surrounded by loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and close family friends. Their gentle rescue dog, Gus, is part of the family too and already adores Otto.
Emily and Kyle hope to find a surrogate who wants to build a relationship based on trust, openness, and genuine care. They would love to share regular texts and calls, attend milestone appointments, and support their surrogate emotionally and practically without ever making her feel micromanaged. If she is comfortable, they would also love to remain connected after delivery and share photos, milestones, and everyday moments as their little boy grows.
