Meet V

V loves a great song, a cozy restaurant, and a movie that makes her laugh or reach for the tissues. She’s a New Yorker working in fashion, a ’90s girl with an eclectic playlist, and a hopeful single mom who is ready to welcome a child into a life filled with love.

As you might have guessed, “V” is not her real name and she’s not actually a cartoon. The whole fertility journey can be quite vulnerable and while not quite ready to share her name and photos with every person on the entire  Internet, she’ll definitely share them with you prior to matching so that you can get to know her one-on-one.

Her career has been dynamic and exciting, but outside of work, V gravitates toward simple comforts. She practices yoga, gets lost in good books, and enjoys live music. Her ideal restaurant is warm, unfussy, and serves fresh, seasonal food. A perfectly made roast chicken can win her over more easily than an elaborate menu.

Her movie taste offers another glimpse into her personality: sharp romantic comedies, beautiful period dramas, and stories with heart. Pixar holds a special place in her lineup, with Up and Toy Story among her all-time favorites. Her soundtrack might move from ’90s grunge to hip-hop, country, or pop. What matters is finding a song she can feel.

For 16 years, V shared her life with George, a miniature poodle/pinscher mix who wanted to be wherever she was. Saying goodbye to her beloved “velcro dog” was heartbreaking, especially because she had hoped he would meet her baby. The tenderness with which she remembers him says much about the place he held in her heart.

As she prepares for motherhood, V plans to return home to Los Angeles. She loves its warm, relaxed atmosphere, but the biggest draw is family. Her mom and brother are deeply involved in her life, and her two best friends, both parents themselves, offer encouragement and firsthand parenting wisdom. She is choosing single motherhood with a close-knit village ready to embrace her child.

After medical setbacks changed her path, V’s hope of becoming a mother remained. Now, she hopes to meet a surrogate who values clear communication, compassion, and mutual respect.

V would love to share meaningful milestones while respecting her surrogate’s space, routines, and independence. After delivery, she hopes their connection can unfold naturally, with occasional photos, birthday celebrations, or holiday greetings.

She brings excitement, a few understandable nerves, and profound gratitude to this journey. Most of all, she brings readiness: to adjust her priorities, build a steady and happy home, and welcome a child already surrounded by people eager to love them.
