Meet Katie & Will

Meet Katie and William: Big Hearts, Full Weekends, and Room for One More

We are Katie and William, a Texas couple raising our daughter, Charlotte, alongside an 85-pound rescue dog named Birdie who remains convinced she is a lapdog. I work as a bridal stylist, William works in real estate, and together we have built a life filled with faith, family, sports, travel, and plenty of time outdoors.

We would love for our surrogate to know how deeply we care about our family. They are truly everything to us. I have an older brother, and William is a triplet (all boys) and has a younger sister. We both consider our siblings our best friends. Since we both grew up being extremely close to our siblings and we would love for our daughter to have just one sibling she can grow up in life with. Siblings are so special, and we know she won’t be able to have multiple, but we pray every day that she can just have one to complete our family.

We met 12 years ago at a party in college while William was visiting one of his brothers that went to the same school as me. The day we met I told my friends, “I’m going to marry that boy”! They all thought I was crazy, but we started dating that a few months later. We did long distance for 2 years then William convinced me to move to Dallas (where he grew up). We got engaged after being together for 5 years at his ranch in North Texas. We were supposed to get married in 2020, but then COVID happened. We delayed the wedding a year and got married in my hometown in Tennessee- it was perfect! We have gone through a lot in our 11 years together and through our love and faith in The Lord we know we can get through any challenges ahead!

Our weekends rarely sit still. We play tennis, golf, and pickleball, take Charlotte and Birdie to the park, swim nearly every summer weekend, and host friends for backyard grilling. William is an avid outdoorsman, so we often visit his nearby ranch, where Charlotte can run around and see the cows. We also spend summers at our mountain home in North Carolina, a place we hope will hold special memories for our children for years to come.

We are serious sports fans, cheering for Tennessee, TCU, and the Cowboys, even when being a Cowboys fan requires a particularly strong commitment to hope. Our entertainment tastes cover everything from World War II and outer-space documentaries to Bravo and The Princess Diaries. Our playlists are just as varied, spanning Fleetwood Mac, James Taylor, Leon Bridges, Zach Bryan, Olivia Dean, and even a little EDM.

We hope to build a genuine, lasting relationship with our surrogate. We would love to share photos and updates, exchange Christmas cards, and make sure she always knows how loved and appreciated she is. We hope to find someone who can become another heart outside of our bodies and who values a thoughtful, holistic approach to pregnancy while following the medical guidance needed to keep everyone safe.

We are energetic and fun people who know we can provide a great life for our kids. That is our whole goal in life- that our kids are happy and feel our love always!

Called To Carry

Surrogacy is more than medical. It’s deeply spiritual. And discerning a call to carry (or to let someone carry for you) isn’t always easy. Whether you’re pursuing surrogacy, preparing to carry for someone else, or just navigating unfamiliar terrain, you’re not alone. Called to Carry is a 14-day devotional for women of faith walking through the sacred, complex, and often hidden journey of surrogacy. Get your free copy today.
