A little about us. We love to travel! We aim to take an international trip every year to visit family if budget and time off allows along with local trips whenever we can. We love to immerse ourselves in different cultures, although the pandemic and medical treatments made that challenging. Michelle’s also a Disney enthusiast – we have a goal to experience every Disney Park worldwide!
Our journey has been anything but easy. Just three weeks before our wedding, we got the heart-wrenching news that I had stage 3 breast cancer. What should have been the happiest time of our lives quickly turned into a whirlwind of fear and uncertainty. I still remember receiving that call while walking into dinner on my bachelorette weekend. In that moment, I felt like my whole world was crumbling. I couldn’t breathe. Was this really how my story was going to end, before it even had a chance to truly begin? I had just found the love of my life—what if we couldn’t grow old together?
Things took a turn for the worse a week later. I was told I needed aggressive treatments, including chemotherapy, because the cancer had already spread. The fear of the unknown was overwhelming, but the hardest part was realizing that chemotherapy might destroy my ability to have children. Becoming a mom had always been my biggest dream and the driving force behind everything I’ve achieved in life.
We had to start chemotherapy right away to stop the cancer from spreading. There were even discussions about canceling our wedding and starting treatment without the chance to create embryos because time was running out. Thankfully, we managed to complete two rounds of IVF before beginning chemotherapy.
Through all the pain and setbacks, I’ve held onto the hope that one day, I’ll have the chance to hold a child of my own. I learned that I can’t get pregnant naturally or carry a child without increasing the risk of the cancer coming back. But I refuse to give up on my dream of becoming a mom.
So now, we’re reaching out for help from an incredible person who can help us make this dream a reality.
Enough about us! Let’s talk about you. We want to express how incredibly grateful and excited we are that you’re considering helping us bring our dream of starting a family to life. Your willingness to be part of this journey means more to us than we can put into words. The thought of working with someone as special as you fill our hearts with such deep joy.
Finding the right surrogate is incredibly important to us. What we’re looking for most are qualities like empathy and open, honest communication. We need someone who truly understands the gravity of this journey and feels comfortable sharing her feelings and thoughts with us. We hope to build a genuine connection where we can support each other every step of the way.
It’s essential to us that our surrogate is not just reliable and responsible, but also someone who is committed to creating a loving and nurturing environment for our baby. We dream of forming a meaningful relationship with someone who is as dedicated and invested in this journey as we are. Your support would not only help us create a family but also bring us closer to our deepest hopes and dreams.
We envision a warm, supportive journey with our gestational carrier. We aim to cultivate a genuine friendship, respecting GC’s preferences. We’ll stay connected, ensuring an open dialogue throughout the journey. We look forward to starting this journey with you, even Gatsby our yorkie cannot wait for a human sibling.
We dream of growing our family to include two children. If our first surrogacy journey is as wonderful as we hope, we would love to continue and give our child a sibling. We would love to find a gestational carrier who is interested in a sibling journey as well. We’re holding onto hope that, with the right support, we can turn our dreams of becoming parents and expanding our family into a beautiful reality.
