Meet Us: Big Hearts, Loud Families and the Best Breakfast Tacos
We are Mallory and T.C., and we have built a life filled with family, friendship, laughter and plenty of good food. Now, we are ready to share that life with a child.
After years of trying to grow our family, we learned that Mallory’s uterus cannot support the lining needed for a healthy embryo transfer. Surrogacy offers us the hope of finally becoming parents, with the help of someone truly extraordinary.
Life with us is rarely boring. Our families are close, loud and always ready to celebrate. We love a good party, and T.C. especially loves a good party shirt. Between our three nieces, one nephew and many beloved godchildren, there is usually a full house, plenty of noise and no shortage of people to love.
T.C. has never met a person he was not prepared to become friends with, especially if that person happens to be standing nearby on a golf course. Mallory is bubbly and emotive, and she is always ready to lend an ear and a thought to a friend. Together, we love helping people feel welcomed and comfortable.
Our weekends often include golfing, grilling or relaxing by the pool. During the workweek, life slows down a little. We enjoy cooking at home, visiting the farmers market and exploring the incredible food scene in New Orleans. Mallory will happily order seafood, while T.C. is usually searching for a great burger. Most Sundays, though, we walk to El Pavo Real for brunch and what we confidently believe are the absolute best breakfast tacos.
Travel is another important part of our story. Mallory grew up taking international family trips, and we have continued that tradition. We have traveled several times to Colombia to visit her family and even got married there. Mallory is currently brushing up on her Italian and learning Mahjong, proving there is always room for one more hobby.
Our home also has an excellent soundtrack. One of our first dates was a Celine Dion concert, where T.C. unexpectedly knew more lyrics than Mallory. Our dog is named Stevie Nicks, and our playlists move easily between Bad Bunny, Motown, oldies and Taylor Swift. Movie nights usually feature something heartwarming, delightfully silly or, when Mallory chooses, a true crime documentary.
We hope to build a caring and supportive relationship with our surrogate. We want to understand how we can best support her throughout the pregnancy and create an environment where she feels genuinely comfortable. We would also love to remain in contact with the person who helped make our family whole.
More than anything, we consider ourselves extraordinarily lucky and blessed. We are ready to welcome a child into a life overflowing with love, laughter, music, family and, of course, breakfast tacos.
