Meet Katie & Will

Some couples dream about becoming parents. Katie and Will have spent years building a life that has always had room for one more.

Living in North Carolina, they’ve created a home filled with laughter, great food, beloved pets, and a relationship built on genuine friendship. Because Katie was born with a congenital heart defect, her doctors advised that pregnancy would put her long-term health at risk. Surrogacy is the safest path to growing the family they’ve always envisioned.

What stands out most about Katie and Will isn’t just their story, it’s who they are.

They met in college and quickly discovered they had found their person. More than fifteen years later, they still describe each other as best friends. They’re just as happy exploring Durham’s incredible restaurants as they are spending a quiet evening at home reading, cooking, watching movies, or playing board games together.

Katie is a writer with an incredible imagination. She loves storytelling, tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons, traveling, bookbinding, and is currently working on several novels. Will is a partner at a law firm who loves planning unforgettable trips, discovering amazing restaurants, reading, cooking, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. Together they’re curious, thoughtful people who genuinely enjoy learning, creating, and sharing experiences with the people they love.

Their home is also full of personality thanks to three furry family members: two lovable rescue dogs and an unusually affectionate cat who famously chose them by climbing onto their shoulders and licking their faces. It’s easy to imagine the joy a child will experience growing up in a home filled with books, pets, laughter, and parents who can’t wait to read bedtime stories every night.

Perhaps the most meaningful thing about Katie and Will is how they hope to walk through surrogacy. They want their surrogate to feel respected and supported every step of the way. Whether that means frequent communication or more privacy, they want the relationship to reflect whatever feels most comfortable for her. Their gratitude is evident in every word they share.

After four years of obstacles and perseverance, Katie and Will remain hopeful. They know they cannot reach parenthood alone, and they never take that gift for granted. If you’re looking for intended parents who are kind, grounded, endlessly appreciative, and ready to love both their future child and the incredible woman helping bring that child into the world, Katie and Will would be honored to meet you.
