Meet Jordyn & Joel

Meet Jordyn and Joel: A Colorado Family with More Love to Share

At Jordyn and Joel’s Colorado home, there’s usually music playing, two rescue dogs hoping for dropped snacks, and a little boy who is the center of their world. Being his parents is the best part of their lives, and they hope to welcome another child into the family they love so deeply.

Outgoing and driven, Jordyn and Joel work hard, but their favorite moments happen together. They love cooking and hosting, camping, fishing, golfing, hiking, and volleyball. Winter brings snowboarding and snowmobiling, while sporting events, country concerts, and family vacations give them plenty of reasons to get out and make memories.

An evening at home can be just as fun. They enjoy action movies, dramas, and Marvel adventures, but Jordyn has added romantic comedies to their rotation. Over the years, she’s softened Joel’s edges enough that he now enjoys them, sometimes even shedding a few tears alongside her. Their playlists are equally varied, although country music holds the top spot.

Their rescue dogs, Rajah, 11, and Tilly, 9, have been beloved family members for years. Both have discovered that little children make excellent dinner companions, especially during the stage when food ends up on the floor. Dog cuddles are a permanent fixture in this animal-loving home.

Jordyn also has a twin sister, and close family connections are woven into everyday life. Both Jordyn’s and Joel’s families live within about 30 minutes. Grandparents regularly encourage date nights so they can have time with their grandson, or stop by simply because they miss him. Another baby would arrive surrounded by helping hands, enthusiastic relatives, and so much love.

After having their son, Jordyn experienced placenta accreta and has not had a successful pregnancy after multiple embryo transfers. Her doctor has shared that another successful pregnancy is unlikely without surrogacy. They hope a surrogate will help them grow the family that means everything to them.

Jordyn and Joel would welcome an ongoing relationship after delivery, guided by what feels natural and comfortable for their surrogate. That might mean birthday messages, holiday updates, FaceTime calls, or visits when they’re nearby. Their hope is to share a meaningful connection with the person who helps make this next chapter possible, while honoring her comfort and wishes.

Called To Carry

Surrogacy is more than medical. It’s deeply spiritual. And discerning a call to carry (or to let someone carry for you) isn’t always easy. Whether you’re pursuing surrogacy, preparing to carry for someone else, or just navigating unfamiliar terrain, you’re not alone. Called to Carry is a 14-day devotional for women of faith walking through the sacred, complex, and often hidden journey of surrogacy. Get your free copy today.
