They are a blended family and have been married for 3 ½ years. Karina has two children from a previous marriage, but Rory does not have any children of his own and they would like to create a family together. They have been trying to have a baby for over two years without success and that is why they are soliciting the help of a gestational carrier.
Rory and Karina both come from large families (three siblings each), and they are all very close. Rory loves being a father to his stepsons, but they will soon graduate from high school and he and Karina desire to raise another child together. Family is extremely important to them and they love spending time with Karina’s boys.
Rory is self-employed and Karina works as an environmental planning consultant. Her job is flexible and she can work from anywhere. Together Karina, Rory, and their boys love to travel, hike, fish, paddleboard, and participate in and watch all kinds of sporting events. Their boys play volleyball and baseball, so they are constantly on the move.
Karina and Rory currently have 1 embryo, and if the first embryo transfer attempt does not work, they desire to create more embryos to continue trying to expand their family.
