Meet Marisa & Michael

Hi, we’re Marisa and Michael, and we’re so glad you’re here. 
 
Thank you for even considering being a Surrogate. It’s hard to put into words how much this means to us—but we’ll do our best to try. 
 
We’re a loving, devoted couple living in New York, just four blocks from Marisa’s parents (who, along with Michael’s parents, are VERY excited about this journey. Our home is filled with laughter, support, and the smell of homemade pasta—we’ve been practicing lately and often invite Marisa’s parents over for dinner (and let’s be honest, they mostly come for cuddles with our dog, Bisbee). 
 
Marisa is a marriage and family therapist and relationship researcher. She has her own practice and works with couples and families to strengthen their bonds. She’s passionate about love—studying it, nurturing it, and building it in every corner of her life. Michael is a lawyer at a company that makes healthier snacks (work perk? Taste-testing!). We both have flexible work lives, and we’re committed to being present throughout this entire journey—whatever that looks like for you. 
 
We deeply respect and admire women who feel called to be Surrogates. The generosity and courage that lives in that choice is incredible. We want to make sure our Surrogate feels honored and supported, not just by us, but by our entire community. Marisa’s parents, Michael’s family, our friends—they’re all cheering this on alongside us. Our relationship with our current Surrogate, “K” has been a beautiful one. She is kind and it feels like a partnership, and that has been so comforting, and we want to create that same warm, team-minded experience again. 
 
We’re not looking for a transactional process—we’re hoping for a relationship. One that’s built on mutual respect, open communication, and genuine care. Whether that means regular check-ins, updates, or simply knowing we’re here and cheering you on, we’ll follow your lead and support you however you feel most comfortable. 
 
We’re also fun people! Marisa loves improv (she just performed in her first show!), romantic comedies (she can quote Bridesmaids by heart), and exploring new restaurants. Michael loves playing guitar, bike rides along the beach, and discovering the best Thai noodles in Queens. And both of us are major foodies who believe every meal is a celebration. 
 
But more than anything, we’re people who love deeply and show up fully. We are loyal, honest, and would go out of our way to support those we care about. We hope that if you choose us, you’ll feel seen, supported, and surrounded by love.
