Hello! Our names are Mike and Mariesa, and we are so grateful you are taking a moment to read our story. 

We live in Atlanta with our two young children, Harrison and Maddie, who are truly the best of friends. They are two years and two days apart, and right now, life with them is full of laughter, energy, and so much joy. Most days, you will find us outside after work and daycare, at the playground, on playdates, or watching Harrison learn to ride his bike while Maddie keeps up right beside him. These everyday moments mean everything to us. 

We have been together since 2015 and married in 2021. We both attended the University of Georgia and still love going back for football games when we can. Mike works in accounting and financial reporting, and Mariesa is an orthodontist in a private practice. We love spending time together as a family, whether that is traveling, trying new restaurants, or grabbing takeout and heading to a green space to let the kids run around. Mike loves cooking and grilling, Mariesa loves reading, and we both enjoy everything from 90s comedies to Disney movies with our kids. 

As much as we love our life, our journey to growing our family has come with unexpected heartbreak. After experiencing miscarriages, we learned that Mariesa has a uterine defect from her last cesarean that cannot be safely repaired. Carrying another pregnancy would put her life at risk. It was devastating news, especially because we have always dreamed of having a bigger family. 

We moved forward with IVF, not knowing what would be possible, and feel incredibly grateful to now have seven embryos. 

Our family feels so full of love, and at the same time, we know in our hearts it is not complete. We are hoping to find a gestational carrier who feels a connection to our story and would consider helping us grow our family. We would be endlessly grateful for the chance to welcome another child into our lives.
