Some love stories begin with a first date. Ours began with a second chance.
Years ago, Marisol received a heart transplant that gave her the incredible gift of life. It was nothing short of a miracle. Today, she is healthy, thriving, and living a full life. But because of that same transplant, carrying a pregnancy would put her life at serious risk. That’s why we’re here, hoping to meet the amazing woman who might help us grow our family.
If you asked us what life looks like on a normal weekend, you’d probably find flour on the kitchen counter, a movie playing in the background, and a debate about where to eat next.
Marisol is happiest when she’s creating something. Whether she’s putting her own spin on a favorite recipe, baking for friends and family, getting lost in a good mystery novel, or attempting her latest craft project, she loves making things that bring people joy. Cooking is one of her favorite ways to say “I love you,” and if there’s Mexican, Thai, or Nobu involved, she’s smiling before the first bite.
Jonathan is happiest with his hands busy. He finds peace restoring old treasures, assembling models, detailing cars, fishing, or tackling just about any project that lets him build, fix, or improve something. He jokes that pizza should count as its own food group after growing up in New York, and while he’ll happily eat almost anything, Italian food will always feel like home.
Together, we’re the kind of couple who can spend hours watching movies, laughing at comedies, cheering through action scenes, or pretending we don’t already know every line from Grease. (Jonathan would like it officially noted that Marisol definitely knows every word, even if she’ll never admit it.)
We’re both close to our families and genuinely enjoy spending time with the people we love. Even with busy professional lives, we’ve always believed that family comes first. It’s the center of everything we do and every dream we’re working toward.
If you’re considering carrying for our family, we hope you know this: we don’t see you as someone simply helping us have a baby.
