Meet Carly & Max

Meet Carly & Max: A Hopeful Family ready for the next chapter

Sometimes love stories begin with fireworks, sometimes with awkward small talk—and sometimes, like Carly and Max, in a high school production of Guys and Dolls. (Yes, really. Move over Broadway:  Alexandria Virginia has its own dynamic duo.)

Fast forward 13 years, and these high-school sweethearts are still inseparable. Now 30, married for more than three years, and living in their first home in Alexandria, Virginia, Carly and Max are ready to grow their family—but they need the help of an incredible gestational carrier to get there.

Carly and Max are the kind of people who love what they do and don’t take life too seriously. Carly works in advertising and marketing, and Max designs websites and user experiences for a nonprofit. Both jobs are remote, so yes—plenty of pajama-days happen and plenty of time to be at home with a little one.

When they’re not working, you’ll probably find them in motion. Max plays pickleball, Carly’s in group fitness classes, and together they’re always exploring new dim sum spots in their neighborhood. When it’s time to slow down, Carly will cue up The Real Housewives (Bravo fans, you’ve found your people). And for movie nights, it’s Marvel for Max and rom-coms for Carly—a perfectly balanced cinematic diet.

But behind all the fun and quirks is a story that has shaped their path to parenthood. After marrying, Carly and Max couldn’t wait to start a family. But Carly was diagnosed with a rare Mullerian anomaly called a Unicornuate Uterus, which makes pregnancy incredibly high-risk. Last summer, they also experienced the heartbreak of a miscarriage. These challenges, paired with the loss of Carly’s dad in recent years, have deepened their longing to bring new life, joy, and love into their family.

That’s where their future gestational carrier comes in. As they put it in their own words:

“If you choose to walk this journey with us, we want you to know that you would be welcomed with immense love, care, and gratitude. Your well-being and comfort would be our top priority throughout the process. We hope to create an open, respectful, and meaningful partnership, ensuring this experience is as positive and fulfilling for you as it is life-changing for us.”

Carly and Max bring warmth, humor, and a whole lot of heart to everything they do. They’re rooted in their Jewish community, deeply value connection and tradition, and are endlessly grateful for the extraordinary women who make parenthood possible through surrogacy.

So if you love Bravo marathons, dim sum adventures, and the idea of helping two people with giant hearts and a really good playlist become parents—Carly and Max just might be your perfect match.
