I’m the Executive Director of an environmental education nonprofit organization in Louisiana. My work focuses on educating K-12 students about coastal land loss issues in our state, and I also engage in substantial fundraising for our organization. While I’m open to having a spouse or partner in the future, I’m very happy being a single dad. My son, who was born in March 2021 via surrogate, is my priority, and I’m looking forward to growing our family.
I have a passion for promoting art and culture in my community and currently serve on the Louisiana Division of the Arts Board of Directors. I enjoy gardening, and my son has become my biggest hobby. It’s a joy to see him playing in the dirt and exploring the garden with me.
Reading is another pastime I cherish, especially reading out loud to my son. I recently published a children’s book titled, “The Fly that Flew Off the Handle,” which he seems to enjoy. He’s a healthy and happy little boy who loves dinosaurs and the color yellow. Every day with him is a grand new adventure.
During my first surrogacy journey, I couldn’t attend all the doctor appointments in person, but I was able to FaceTime during those visits, which allowed me to ask the OBGYN any questions I had. I appreciated my surrogate’s privacy when discussing non-pregnancy-related issues with her doctor.
My goal is to have a healthy baby at the end of this process, and I value a surrogate who leads a healthy lifestyle and values honesty. I trust my surrogate to nurture and grow the most precious thing in my life and want to be able to trust her explicitly with that responsibility.
I’m open to whatever level of contact my surrogate prefers after the delivery. I still stay in touch with my son’s surrogate and her family, enjoying the relationship we’ve built. I’d welcome a new friendship with a future surrogate, but I also respect if she prefers less contact after the delivery.
