Hi, we are Ziad and Matthew, and we are two dads hoping to grow our family through surrogacy. We have been together for several years and got married in 2022, but honestly, it feels like we have been a team forever. We live near Pittsburgh with our two dogs and two cats, who believe they run the house, and they are mostly right.
Ziad is a physician specializing in radiation oncology, and Matthew is an operations director. We balance each other well. Ziad stays calm under pressure, and Matthew is organized down to the minute. When the baby arrives, one of us will be home full-time, and we are lucky that our in-laws live just four minutes away and are already planning to help.
We are homebodies who still love a good adventure. On weekends, you might find us cooking something new, trying a restaurant we have not visited yet, or heading outdoors to explore. Matthew could live on sushi, while Ziad insists variety is the spice of life. Either way, our kitchen is rarely quiet.
Family is everything to us. We spend a lot of time with loved ones in West Virginia, Virginia, and Montreal, and we are surrounded by friends who cannot wait to meet our future little one. We try to keep life full of humor, honesty, and warmth.
More than anything, we want our surrogate to know we see this as a shared journey built on trust and care. We would love to be as involved as she feels comfortable, joining for milestone appointments or FaceTiming from afar. We do not take this step lightly, and we are deeply grateful for the chance to grow our family through someone’s generosity.
