Hi there,
We’re Daren and Monica, and we’re so grateful you’re taking a moment to learn about us. This journey to grow our family has had its twists and turns, but if there’s one thing we know for certain, it’s that we are meant to be parents to a little one together. We can’t do that without someone like you—someone willing to give such an incredible gift. Just thinking about that fills us with gratitude.
We live in a small town where everybody knows everybody, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Daren is an ER physician, and Monica is a nurse practitioner, which means we’ve seen our fair share of chaos, but at the end of the day, home is our happy place. When we’re not working, we’re usually outside—Daren loves fishing and hunting, and Monica is happiest in her flower beds or restoring old furniture to give it new life. We both love animals, which is good because we seem to collect them—right now, we’ve got three cats, two horses, and one very opinionated donkey who keeps us on our toes.
Between the two of us, we’ve been blessed with children from previous relationships who are older (between 11 and 24!) and we have dreamed of having a child together. Unfortunately, due to a previous ablation, even with corrective surgery, Monica is unable to carry.
Our first journey in surrogacy didn’t go as we had hoped. We were overjoyed to be expecting, but midway through the pregnancy, we learned that our baby had a severe condition that would require a lifetime of surgeries and suffering. With broken hearts, we made the most painful decision a parent can, saying goodbye to our little girl before she could ever know the suffering ahead of her. It was the hardest thing we’ve ever been through, and we have taken some time to heal since then. So, after two years of processing, healing, and holding onto hope, we’re here again, ready to try once more.
We know surrogacy is built on trust, and that’s something we take seriously. We want our surrogate to feel respected, supported, and appreciated every step of the way. We’re not the overbearing type—just good communicators who believe in open, honest conversations and a whole lot of mutual kindness. We don’t know what the future holds, but we do know this: if we’re lucky enough to be matched with you, we will be endlessly grateful.
If you think we might be a good fit, we’d love to connect and hear your story, too.
With warm hearts and big hopes,
Daren & Monica
