We’re Brian and Sebastian, though our friends like to call us “Sebrian.” We’ve been together for almost seven years and currently live in NYC. Sebastian is originally from Colombia, and Brian is from California, so there’s a lot of Spanglish spoken in our home! Despite growing up in different cultures, we share strong family values and recognize the importance of staying connected with those we love.
Brian is the chef in our home, always exploring new recipes from the New York Times Cooking app, and keeping dinners exciting with fresh ingredients from Whole Foods. Family is everything to us; our supportive families have helped us reach many goals, and now we’re ready to start a family of our own, eager to pass down the values that shaped us.
Brian, a software engineer for a newspaper, works a hybrid schedule with strong support from his company, including five months of parental leave. Sebastian is a data analyst in the movie industry and works fully remote, which will allow him to be home with our child every day, providing stability and support as we start this new chapter. Both of our families are thrilled to help, planning visits to NYC to assist as we welcome our little one.
As a couple, we share a deep love for the outdoors. Whether it’s hiking through nature or exploring the streets of New York City, we thrive on being active and embracing the vibrant energy of our surroundings. Summer is our favorite season because it brings opportunities to enjoy picnics with friends in Central Park or escape to Fire Island for a day at the beach. These outdoor adventures are moments we look forward to sharing with our child, fostering their love for exploration and the beauty of nature.
We’re fortunate to have such an amazing support system of family and friends who are eager to help us. Both sides of our family have already begun planning trips to NYC to assist us as we adjust to this new chapter. Their love and guidance mean so much, and we feel incredibly lucky to have their support as we embark on this journey.
