Help us write the next chapter!
Hi! We are Anjali and Andrew, and we are so grateful that you are taking the time to read a little about our family.
First, we want to say how deeply we respect the women who choose to help others this way. We recognize the enormity of the role you would play in our family story. Our hope is to build a relationship that feels comfortable, supportive, and grounded in mutual respect. We would love to stay in close contact during the pregnancy, while also respecting that you have your own life, commitments, and responsibilities. If you’re open to it, we would also love to stay in touch after delivery by sharing photos and milestones from the baby’s first year. You will always hold a meaningful place in our child’s life story, and we would want to honor the role you played in bringing them into the world.
Our journey to grow our family has not been easy or conventional, but it has been beautiful. We had a miracle pregnancy with our daughter, Mila, but she was born at 33 weeks via placental abruption, we then did IVF with our son, Luca, but he was also born pre-term at 35 weeks. We still desperately wanted to have another baby, but our doctor said that it was no longer safe for Anjali to carry. We have eleven frozen embryos and are fully committed to growing our family with the help of a surrogate, and are eternally grateful that there are women willing to help us in such a beautiful way. While no one knows what this journey holds, we are hopeful to find someone who will love this pregnancy and not consider termination unless her life is at risk.
Here is a little bit more about us! Our life at home is full and joyful. Mila is now almost 4, and Luca is 1. These days our world is full of toddler birthday parties, dance class, playground visits, and playdates. Watching our kids grow has been the greatest joy of our lives.
As a family, we love taking long walks together with our big, lovable German Shepherd, Zoji. Mila likes to point out neighborhood decorations like the “wind spinner,” “sun and stars,” and the famous “flamingo.” Zoji takes his job of shepherding the pack very seriously.
Andrew loves to cook and is the family chef, especially when he gets to use the backyard smoker. He also loves reading and spending time outdoors. Anjali loves spending time with friends, whether that means coffee, dinner, or just relaxing and catching up.
We met in 2018 and quickly knew we wanted to build a life together. We are incredibly grateful for Mila and Luca, and we also know in our hearts that there is another baby meant to join our family. Mila tells her teachers “my mom’s doctor said she can’t have another baby, but someone kind will help me have a brother or sister” and Zoji is ready for another member of the pack. Luca, always happy and smiling, is just enjoying the ride.
If you are the person who walks this next chapter with us, please know how thankful we already are for you. This baby is already so deeply wanted, and we cannot wait to meet the incredible woman who might help bring them into our lives.
