Meet Mary & Courtney

Courtney and Mary know firsthand that surrogacy is not just a process. It is a relationship. It is trust. It is an act of generosity that changes lives.

Their first journey into parenthood was made possible by an extraordinary gestational carrier who will always be part of their family. They still stay connected through visits, FaceTime calls, and a shared photo album filled with memories of Florence’s first years. That bond shaped how they see surrogacy: not as a transaction, but as a lifelong connection built on mutual respect and gratitude. As they dream of welcoming a second child, they hope to build that same meaningful relationship again.

Both Courtney and Mary are physicians who met as first-year medical students at Vanderbilt. They love their work, but even more, they love the life they have built together. With stable careers, supportive employers, and a forever home in Nashville, they are rooted and ready for this next chapter.

Outside the hospital, their life is full and joyful. Mornings and evenings are spent walking their two rescue dogs, Zooey and Goose. Weekends often include trail runs, tennis matches, playground trips with friends, or exploring Nashville’s newest restaurants. Their daughter keeps them laughing, traveling, and discovering the world through toddler-sized wonder. She is also an impressively adventurous eater, which makes family dinners especially fun.

Mary and Courtney’s path to parenthood has included a breast cancer diagnosis and chemotherapy (now 10 years cancer free!), infertility, IVF setbacks, and pregnancy loss. These experiences have deepened their empathy and their appreciation for every step of this journey. They approach surrogacy with humility, emotional maturity, and a sincere commitment to putting family first.

If you are considering becoming a gestational carrier, know this: Courtney and Mary will show up with gratitude, reliability, and genuine care. They will honor your role, support you fully, and treat you as part of their family story.
